MUAY THAI
Muay thai is the national sport of Thailand, also known as Thai Boxing. The techniques of muay thai are the use of boxing, kicking, elbowing, and kneeing to all parts of the body. This makes muay thai an incredibly effective and practical as a street self defense art.
Our muay thai program offers classes 6 days a week. The beginning of each muay thai class begins with a warm up with various drills and calisthenics. Throughout class, the instructor will demonstrate to the class various offensive as well as defensive combinations and fight strategies. Every class is different. Some days you will be hitting pads or heavy bags, other days you will be practicing technique with a partner. Most classes end with an opportunity to “live train” or tech spar. This gives our students the ability to visualize a more realistic understanding of a real life self defense situation in a safe setting.
Some students learn it for fun. Some learn for self defense. Others do it to compete. Either way you will experience the best workout with the best results of your life.
